CrossCode is influenced by SNES RPGs that mimic classics like Mana's Secret in combat style, but modernizes them for contemporary tastes.
This tells the story of Lea, a girl who has become forgetful and must play an MMORPG called "CrossWorlds" to regain certain memories. The game in a house is a relatively common anime trope, but a little rarer in video games.
Since it was first released on Steam in 2018, CrossCode has received a second wave of recognition for this month's console update. In addition, on Switch, PC, and PS4, the game is physically released.
